Masters of Money (Your Chance to Hear Real Money Conversations)

I get it.

It can be hard to have conversations about money with our friends, family, and even your spouse.

Money is still a major taboo in our culture. Maybe the last taboo?

Masters of Money Podcast ArtworkBut talking about money openly and honestly has led to huge financial success for me.

When I started being more interested in stories about money (whether that was reading someone else’s blog, or starting my own, or meeting other bloggers face to face), it bred tremendous change in my financial life.

Since I started participating in the conversation about money, I’ve paid off student loans and car loans, saved up an emergency fund, maxed out my retirement accounts, saved up for two down payments for homes, and left my corporate career to start two businesses.

Here’s where YOU come in.

I want you to have the same results that I have had.

That means you need to start getting in on the conversation. To make it easy, I want to bring more conversations about money to you.

So here’s what I’m doing. I’m starting a new podcast show called Masters of Money where I interview the people of FinCon, the event I run for financial nerds, and get them to open up about:

  • their financial turnaround
  • the goals they’ve achieved
  • what they still struggle with
  • the tools they use
  • their plans for the future
  • and more…

My hope is that these open and honest conversations will inspire, educate, and entertain. My goal is usefulness.

Selfishly, I’m also looking forward to re-engaging with the podcast medium. It’s been a couple of years since I released an episode of the Part-Time Money Podcast.

Masters of Money Podcast Now in iTunesWord of caution. I will probably be a bit rusty. In fact I know I will. But I promise to get better and keep at it.

Get this. I’ve got over 30 shows already scheduled with guests and over 10 shows already recorded.

Some of my first guests:

So how will it help YOU?

Ideally, you’ll learn some new things. Each one of these guests (aka “Masters”) has a unique story that we can all learn from. It should be fun.

Secondly, listening in should help to spur more money conversations in your own life. Mentioning what happened on a podcast could be the perfect launch pad for a conversation about money with your friends, family, or spouse.

Like I mentioned above, this has been a key factor for me.
